It's a lame (MISTAKEN) excuse (aka LIE) to cover double billing. I don't believe that answer from MS Support. The 2nd billing on 12/14/21 was payment for the New One Drive Standalone 100GB.

14th-December 14th (evidently my monthly renewal date is the 14th of the month). I learned that the monthly billing for my One Drive +100 that was paid on was actually covering Nov. I was finally able to contact Microsoft Support via Live Chat. is this only an isolated occurrence and will there be just a single $1.99 charge per 100GB going forward? If I cancel the original "OneDrive +100" will that simply reduce my storage capacity by 100GB since the new version is now called "OneDrive Standalone 100GB" or will it inadvertently delete all my data on the OneDrive? Did Microsoft simply change the subscription start/renewal date along with changing the subscription name which then resulted in the double charge. If I manage the subscriptions, I have the option to cancel either one or both according to the version selected.

Any suggestions? For now, I turned off my auto payment and enrolled in two-step verification for the account.ĭitto! Microsoft charged $1.99 on Decemfor "OneDrive +100" and $1.99 again on Decemfor "OneDrive Standalone 100GB." Although I now have 220GB available, I don't want nor need more than 100GB for several more years. Do you have an explanation for the double billing? I have not been able to determine a way to contact Microsoft about this double bill. Why the double bill? I was wondering if someone had hacked my account. Ron: You didn't answer Sarah's Question! I too was charged twice in December for my One Drive Storage: $1.99 on December 6th and then 1.99 on December 14th for 100 GB of One Drive Standalone Storage.
